Small schools to be closed

A total of 2,686 small schools nationwide will be merged with larger ones, the Office of the Basic Education Commission has announced. Officials plan to close down schools with fewer than 60 students.

OBEC secretary-general Chinnapat Bhumirat said on May 31 that he has received reports from all 182 provincial educational zones and found that there are 5,949 small primary-level schools with fewer than 60 students across the country. However, only 2,686 schools would be merged with larger schools. The remaining small schools would stay open, but will be required to meet Education Ministry standards.

Summarize :

Education is process learning and very important for everybody. Learning has several ways and many forms such as learning by themselves or friends and teachers.

Today I read news from student weekly the topic is student movement. This news is talk of the town for this year. The government has policy to drop small school with less than 60 of students across the country.

When the government will drop small school integrated with larger schools it’s should consider about the distance from home to school too. The government may be compensate of the minibus or bus or private car for students.

After I read this news, I think the government should think the small schools are not a problem for development education. The real problem is policy of the Ministry of Education focused on the race of subject with the school's district or the school district. It’s had the grading for the schools and has the comparison between the two schools together.
